LD-Series: Decentralised ventilation units

Enjoy fresh air and save energy - universally applicable

The decentralised ventilation units of the LD series from alpha innotec provide uncomplicated, efficient and almost invisible fresh air. Thanks to automatic ventilation, the heat remains in the house while excess moisture and pollutants are transported outside.

Mould formation is prevented and a regular oxygen supply is also guaranteed. The devices have a positive effect on both the house and health - and thanks to passive heat recovery, heating costs are also reduced.

Why a ventilation system?

A decentralised ventilation system ensures healthy, energy-saving air circulation without window ventilation. Instead of opening a window, the ventilation system does this automatically and keeps the warm air in the room. Humidity compensation and adjustable air exchange create an individually adapted microclimate.

This has advantages, especially for allergy sufferers: Fully automatic ventilation units keep pollen and dust out via special filters (optional). A continuous change between so-called supply air phases, in which fresh outside air is conveyed into the building, and exhaust air phases, which remove the used indoor air from the building, ensures perfect, uniform air quality throughout the house.

About the LD-Series

The decentralised ventilation systems LD45 and LD30 are ventilation units of the category change-over ventilation units with heat recovery. They are designed in such a way that it can be easily and almost invisibly installed in the outer wall of the building. The planning effort is also eliminated.

The decentralised ventilation system ensures healthy, energy-saving air circulation without window ventilation. Instead of opening a window, the ventilation system does this completely automatically and keeps the warm air in the room. Moisture balance and adjustable air exchange create an individually adapted microclimate.

A particular advantage, especially for allergy sufferers:
Fully automatic ventilation units keep pollen and dust out via special filters (optional).

For optimum, balanced operation, two units working in opposite directions with regard to their operating phases (supply air/exhaust air) are required. Depending on the total air requirement of the housing unit, more than two units are usually required

Advantages for the homeowner

  • Energy-efficient ventilation with heat recovery
  • Very quiet operation
  • Easy control via remote control
  • Ideal for new construction and renovation
  • Uniformly high air quality
  • Prevention of mould growth
  • DIBT approval applied for (LD45)

Advantages for the installer

  • No planning effort
  • Quick assembly
  • Easy maintenance
  • Coordinated ventilation system with a central control system
  • Can be used independently of the heat source
  • High performance due to high conveying capacity

Universally applicable

A major advantage of our decentralised ventilation units is that they can be used practically anywhere, as they can be installed flexibly without planning effort - regardless of the size of the building. They are practically invisible and are simply mounted in the outer wall, air ducts are not required.

For this reason, the ventilation units of the LD series can be retrofitted particularly easily and cost-effectively in existing buildings. The retrofitting of a central ventilation system in an old building, on the other hand, is also possible, but involves considerably more effort and therefore higher costs.

Technical details

The LD decentralised ventilation unit is characterised by the following features and advantages. The technical details as well as the operating instructions for download can be found on the respective product pages.

  • Change-over ventilation device with heat recovery
  • Can be mounted almost invisibly into the outer wall of the building and is therefore ideal for new buildings and refurbishments
  • Uniformly high air quality and prevention of mould formation
  • No planning effort
  • Coordinated ventilation system with central control (remote control)
  • Can be used independently of the heat source
  • High conveying capacity
  • DIBT approval applied for (LD45)

All LD-Series Packages

In addition to the various individual components of the LD series, we have some prefabricated packages for different requirements in our range. The biggest differences between the different versions are in the control and the available ventilation programs.

Prices - overview

A decentralised ventilation system is always cheaper than a central solution. In addition to the design of the device, the costs depend on various other factors, such as the size of the building and the number of people in the household. The average cost for a decentralised solution (two devices) with installation is approx. 2,500 €.

It should be noted, however, that decentralised ventilation units can only be used room by room, i.e. with the costs for two units outlined here, only a single room is supplied with fresh air. Depending on the number of rooms, it is therefore necessary to consider in each individual case whether a central or decentralised solution is more cost-effective.

Alternatives to the LD-Series

As an alternative to the decentralised units of the LD series, various central ventilation systems are available in the alpha innotec product portfolio. Whether with passive or active heat recovery, at alpha innotec you will find the right solution for automatic room ventilation - if required also with integrated hot water preparation.

LLB-Series

Central ventilation systems with active heat recovery and integrated hot water preparation via air heat pump: The LLB series from alpha innotec uses the thermal energy of the exhaust air instead of letting it escape unused, thus reducing heating costs and protecting the environment.

LG-Series

The central ventilation units of the LG series are real energy-saving wonders: equipped with a particularly efficient heat exchanger for passive heat recovery, they achieve a heat recovery rate of up to 96 % without any major energy input.
